My First Blog. Who Am I?

Still scrolling…yeah…the scroll trap of social media…

All I've accomplished is filling my board and/or wall today. I’m so tired of pinning/liking/sharing. I need to start doing. Just jump right in. I have the skills so I'm going to just start writing and posting it. If people see it great! If not, at least I tried and can check it off my bucket list. I made a website and tried. Its sink or swim time. I’ve done enough procrastinating. I’m going to stop just scrolling and start chipping at my never ending list of “I can do that” projects.

I'm new to this whole blogging thing. I've read a few here and there (mostly links from Pintrest). I’ve watched youtubers as well and this is where I decided to start. This first blog post is more of an about me, but I had to start somewhere to get into the swing of writing and get a feel for what I'm doing. I figured I'd bring you along for my journey from conception. So here we are. This is how my blog came to be. Hopefully you will come along with me as I spread my wings and fly.

I’ve tried craft fairs and selling things by word of mouth. Posting to Etsy as a hobby. And I've gotten nowhere. I mean yes, I have sold a few things here and there but that’s not what I wanted. I want to take what I love and share it with everyone. I want to have something I can give to my children that shows I was here. I want to have flexible work hours and be able to work for myself so I can spend more time with my growing family. I want my own brick and mortar store, but I don’t have the capital to start one. Everyone kept telling me that online is the way to go. So here I am giving this a try.

I am not alone in this. My husband will also chime in from time to time (as this is a joint effort). I'm more of a writer than he is, so most of the actual writing will be me. To learn more about us please check out our about page. I won’t go to In depth here on us, just touch on the basics of our blog and where we plan to go from here. I learned to sew when I was still in grade school and I love it. It is my go-to craft I have a fabric stash and everything. However, I am not one to limit myself to one thing. So recently I learned to crochet (not knit still haven’t got a clue on that one). My husband is actually the one who sat down and taught me. He learned from his grandmother and he can knit too! He also taught me how to use his 3d printer and the software to go with it. Together we have dabbled in other crafts so from time to time we may venture out into other things. This is a blog more about our life and the things we do to enjoy it. We want to pass on that spark of creativity to others. So please follow us on our journey and maybe we can make the next 10 years better than the first.
